“It’s not about dollars, it’s about how we can best help people.” It really is “about how we can best help people” for Dr. Kyle Eberlein of Mid Cities Dental. He puts love into action at his dental offices. He works with various local Texas charities in and around Hurst, Bedford, and surrounding cities to give back to his community.
Getting A New Life & A Smile Back
A few years ago Dr. Eberlein started offering services to some of the people at a local Cenikor substance abuse rehabilitation home. Cenikor offers many different options to overcome drug and alcohol addiction. This particular rehab facility is a long-term home where people stay for two years. The people staying there get clean and get their lives back. The people in the program work to be drug-free and while they are there, they develop new skills so they can get jobs when they graduate from the program.
Many of the residents at Cenikor have very bad teeth. About 6 months before they graduate from the program, Dr. Eberlein will have a few of the participants come to his office for free consultations. He then offers to redo their smiles, at no cost to them! Sometimes people will need crowns and bridge work. Others need dentures or partial dentures. Some have gum disease. Whatever it is, Dr. Eberlein takes care of it for them so they can have their smiles back. When they leave the Cenikor program, they are truly ready to start new lives.
Local Battered Women's Shelter
Dr. Eberlein also works with local battered women’s shelters by taking care of dental work for some of the women who need it.
Putting Love Into Action
On the personal side, Dr. Eberlein is Catholic. Therefore, he supports many different Catholic Charities as well. One of those is a non-profit group called Catholic Brothers for Christ.

This group puts on a yearly conference to help build men up. They teach them how to be the spiritual leaders of their families. In addition, they learn how to be better husbands, fathers, and friends. The men will learn to take care of themselves and take the moral high ground in situations that happen in life.

Through this, many of the men come to know Dr. Eberlein and end up as his patients because they like him. Dr. Eberlein lives his faith on a daily basis by putting love into action.
